I struggled with measurements and the cord I got was not at all thick like yours so I was not able to get the designer fringes like you have done and had to do a LOT MORE KNOTS but the HAMMOCK is here! I decided I will not settle for a makeswift hammock for my cat and I AM SO GLAD I CAME ACROSS YOUR VIDEO! I cannot explain with words how happy I feel, thank you for this very helpful tutorial! Finished mine today with #10 crochet thread and a 1.5 mm crochet hook from hobby lobby. It ended up pretty wide (might’ve been a problem with my gauge) so I’m going to try and see if I can fix it with blocking. 😭 other than that I enjoyed the pattern!

I want to write this pattern for beginners so they can do it too, sadly when I was a beginner I still had a hard time following intermediate-level patterns even if the instructions were written for beginners to follow. I suggest you first learn how to read and interpret crochet charts in order to understand this tutorial.

If for some odd reason you skip the intro and use a 4.5 instead of the 2.5 AND Lilly sugar and cream yarn instead of weight 1 you can make a cute summer top might need some pasties tho lol

I didn’t take into consideration that you used a smaller yarn and a smaller needle. I used a 4 Worsted yarn and a 5mm hook. I now have a massive headscarf. The ties on either side completely wrap around my head and it has to be tied on top of my head
